Hi, Norbert!
I don't want to create the impression I would belong to the MULTIPLEX-team. I am a user as you and so many others. It is just some experience that I want to give on to you!
So version 2.24 or even 2.42 are among the first software version ever released. It is unusaul to have range problem with these. Of course, the receiver might collect some "errors" but this is no natural indication for a proper transmitter or receiver probelm it can be but it needn't be. Radiocontrol means that there might be interferences even with 2.4 GHz technology - in most cases we don't even get the idea that there has been a blocking, a missing signal or what ever.
I would get nervous, if there are to many errors and a far too limited range. But as I said before: try different receivers on cheaper models or by performing a rangetest. Errors that occur above a 50 to 60 meter range in a rangetest should be seen as pretty normal. Especially with an RX-DR-16-pro even in a rangtest distances of more than 100 meter should be without any problems. But, of course, other things (terrain, trees, fences, hig-voltage lines etc.) might have an influence on the test.
To find out if the receivver is the bad partner you might test it with a different transmitter - I know, it is easy to say that for me - I own some five or six tranmitters using M-LINK signals. But if in such a test it turns out that the receiver is ok the tranmitter ist left to hold the baby.
If you are unsure don't risk a model, send the equipment to the MULTIPLEX-service.
good luck and with regards
profimc
