Putting together a Heron kit and am asking for your thoughts about replacing the fiberglass tube with carbon fiber. I understand that it's lighter and stronger but carbon fiber doesn't absorb adhesive. I was thinking of putting perforations through the carbon tube to facilitate anchoring. Give me your general thoughts and if you think it's actually worth doing.
