Upgrade/update Royal Evo to Royal Pro/SX

Hello!

I would like to know what address I should send Royal Evo transmitters in order to upgrade the software to the Royal Pro/SX version. Is this address correct:

I know that the upgrade is free, but I would also like to know what will be the cost of return two transmitters (Evo 9 and Evo 12) to Poland (35-505 Rzeszów).

Hi, Dariusz!

Are your transmitters already equipped with M-LINK-modules?
Then there es no need to send them to MULTIPELX unless you want a complete check!

Just get an adapter-cable (no. 85148) and link the transmitters to you PC, open the MULTIPLEX-launcher und you can update your transmitters on your own.

Don't forget to update the hf-module via cabel no. 85149 - that the one you need for linking the M-LINK-receivers and sensors to the launcher for updates or programming. So unfortunately you need two different cables!

If you run the transmitters on other modules - e.g. Jeti/Duplex - an update is sensless. The Royal-transmitters don't work with Jeti-modules and sofwareversions higher that V3.0 I think!

I have Royal Evos with 35 MHz modules (and don't want to change it) and firmware 1.46. So I have to send transmitters to Multiplex.

Non the less you can update the transmitters yourself using cable 85148. As far as I remember you have to do it in at least two steps. Steps one is an update to 3.0 and then to the latest version. But I am not sure whether the softwareversions inbetween are still available. So sending the transmitters to MULTIPLEX will be the most troubleless way.

I see! This is what I had in mind but I couldn't remember the details!

I have looked for the posting prices DHL from Germany to Poland:

Parcel max. 120 x 60 x 60 cm and 5 kg incl. insurance (max. 500 €): about 18€.
That should do for you. The MULTIPLEX address is correct.
At least this gives you an idea of the costs - I am not of member of the MULTIPLEX-team!

Hi, I would like to understand how to update the HFM4 module. I have the cable #85149.

Could you give me the details step by step please ?

My Radio is a RoyalEvo 9 that was upgraded to RoyalPro. The current software version is V3.41 and I think the MLINK is v3031 if that is possible. At least, that is what I see when I switch it on. I would like to update the software to the latest version. I have ordered the cable #85148. But from the messages here, I would need to update the HF Module itself?

Hi, Hervé!

So you understood it right that there are two cables to update MULTIPLEX-devices: # 85148 ist the right one to update the software of the ROYAL (from evo/pro to SX).
Now inbetween the different updates MULTIPLEX felt the need to improve the HF-module's firmware and this is a separate device, so not part of the main software of the ROYAL and therefore you need a different cable - # 85149.

So how do you do it? You have to link cable # 85149 to the HF-modul at the right-hand top

Your HF-module may have a lable which is a bit different not showing the com-sign. That does not matter but the photo shows how the cable is to put an correctly.

Then connect the # 85149 to the PC, open the launcher and switch on the radio. Normally the launcher is to recognise the module automatically and thus offers the menu showing the update option.

Thanks a lot ProfiMC! I worked perfectly! I am now waiting for the cable to update the software of the RoyalPro. I will then have a fully updated radio!

I think it would be great to update the user manual of the royalpro or the HFM4 module. Because it is not mentioned there.
