Royal pro mit Jeti HF?

Hello,

I have just got a used Royal Pro 12 ch transmitter which I know has a updated firmware. I would like to use it with a Jeti HF modul and I know that it is not possible if the firmware is higher than 3.xx.
My question is: is it possible to bring the firmware to a lower version??

You must connect the Jeti Modul at the DIN Connector. Than you can used the last SW of the Royal, MPX LS Buchse.pdf (111,1 KB)

Hi!

As you already have discovered you can't connect the Jeti HF to the port the original MPX-modul is normally placed if the sofware is 3.0 or higher. This is because when MULTILEX introduced the M-LINK-HFM4 module this module has no longer used a PPM-signal which enabled a realtime corresponding of the R and the HF-modul. But the Jeti-Module is based on the PPM-signal.

The way E-Segler has suggested is possible but needs a bit of soldering work on the DIN-connector from inside the RX if you don't want to establish a solution where the HF-Module is placed autoside the RX. You only have to find the right pins or ccontators according to the wiring scheme E-Segler has provided.

Hi,

thank you for input, after that I was hopeful again. I have connected the Jeti Mudule directly to the DIN connector as suggested, but still the display says NO RFM. I am sure that my soldering and the connections are OK. My Jeti module might be gone, but strange as it worked in another transmitter.

Now finally I made it working. The problem was, that I did not make the shortcut between ground and pin 5. I thought it was not necessary since I already had removed the 35 MHz module.
Now I have a nice transmitter working with the Jeti system.
