OK I have hooked up my sensor as above and I get a rpm reading, but I have a very strange problem. My set up is a RX12DR Pro powered by a 5 cell Nimh via a 12HV safety switch plugged into the 6 pin port on the Rx. The ignition is powered by a separate 4 cell Nimh battery via a mechanical and electronic switch.
Even if the ignition battery is disconnected as long as the rpm sensor is plugged into the S port on the receiver and tacho connection on the Rxcel ignition unit the safety switch will not switch off! Very strange anybody have any ideas>
