Cockpit SX 12 Erratic Function

I have a new SX 12 and am setting up a Funcub with an RX 6 DR Light Receiver. I had set the flaps to the flap roller but after turning everything off and then on again, the roller had moved from the middle position. When I turned everything on, the esc did not make the normal noise but kept beeping, all the control surfaces were juddering, one flap had moved to an unusual position and none of the sticks on the transmitter would work. I eventually found the problem was the flap roller not being in the centre. I really can’t understand the flap roller because with flaps, they are only meant to work in one direction, not both as the flaps on the Funcub can only go one way. All the components, esc, motor, servos are Multiplex brand and this aircraft was working properly on my Hitec transmitter where the flaps were on a slider. I think this is a bug that should be fixed.
Is there any way to set the flap roller so that it can only move in the correct direction?

I have a SX9 and a FuncubXL. Neutral of my Flaps is with the roller all to the left. So I have the entire way of the roller to position the Flaps.
I dont remember how I did that, but I guess, I simply moved the neutral of the flaps all the way to one direction (servo control).

I tried to do that but every time I start the transmitter and aircraft, I just get the juddering control surfaces and beeping esc.
At the moment I have just moved the end point on one side of the roller to zero and now the control surfaces judder for a short time and then stop. I am wondering if there is something wrong with the receiver.

I am ProfiTX-user and not really familiar with the Cockpit SX (neu version). But I want to try picking up you problems.
As to the esc: Is the full-speed-position set on the right side? The sub-trim should be set to the lowest possible position - I don't know whether it is 0% or +/-110%.
As to the receiver: I don't think it is a receiver-problem unless you have had a crash.
I wonder what you use the flaps for on the FunCub. Is it for landing purposes or do you want to increase the rising abilities of the flyer?
If it is only for landing it should be possible to find a setting which responds to a switch instead of the roller - the keyword is "flight-phases".

I use the flaps for slow flight and very short landings which it is good at. I like to have the flaps adjustable so the roller is more suitable than a switch. The receiver is brand new and my main concern is the juddering control surfaces when I turn everything on. I setup an Easy Glider Pro using an RX 7 M-Link receiver with spoilers and did not have any of these problems with that aircraft.

Hi, there!

In order to get convinced that the brand new receiver really works alright try to use it in an enviroment that is tested and without any complains. In easy words: put it into you Easy Glider and see if it works. Also test the other equipment parts, the esc, the servos in the same way: here put the receiver of you Easy Glider into the FunCup.
You are right that a roller is more convenient when playing around with different settings of the flaps. And without any doubts there should be a solution!

Dear Sir,

at first, please set the Failsafe of your receiver correctly.

If you will not use the rollers, you can replace the function for example via a switch, therefor you have to create a control mixer....

I did as you suggested but the receiver still gave the same problems in the Easy Glider so it isn't the aircraft.
I have reinstalled everything back in the Funcub again and sometimes it starts without juddering and sometimes it does. I just move the ailerons a few times and the juddering stops. I will fly it when I get better weather and see how it goes. I still suspect it is the receiver. My other receivers are only single and this is the only one that has dual antennas so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I do have the antennas correctly installed with one at 90 degrees to the other.

Could you provide us a Video?

Please check that the Fast-Response Setting is turned "OFF", you will find it in the model settings.
With analog Servos like built in at the Heron and Easy Glider it may not be used because the servos will not be able to handle this fast transmission.

I was at the flying field today and it happened about 3 times out of 5 when turning on. My routine is to turn on the Transmitter, set the throttle lock, then turn on the receiver and the video shows what happens. The flap is the main one to shake but there are also slight judders in other control surfaces.
Before the first flight, I did a transmitter range check and during that check, I did not move the flap control however, the flaps did move up and down several times during the range check. There is definitely something strange with this receiver.
If you turn the sound up you can hear what it is doing.

Jenee, have you tried to replace the receiver in the FunCub leaving all other things in the plane? Have you got the same result? If not, there might really be someting wrong with the receiver. Send it to the MULTIPLEX-Service, in general they are fast, competent and reliable!

I have about at least 25 M-Link-receivers in use from different sources (for brandnew to second-hand), from "light" to "pro" and I have never had one that could not be made working. But as you might know: ony where people don't work they don't make mistakes!

It maybe a faulty servo, try plugging a different servo into the same channel and see if the problem persists.

This is what I recommended first: Try to replace the different items one by one. The easiest way seems to be to try another receiver!

Dear Sir,

the issue seems not to be a transmitter / receiver problem, if the transmitter will fail, there all servos will be show this effect, especially the two flap servos in the same way. If the error occours again, please remove just the plug of the flap servo and check the reaction of the other servos?
Are the Servos the original in the set included ones?

So far I have tested this receiver in another aircraft and had problems. The Funcub has all Multiplex servos, esc and motor. The Funcub works without any problems on my Hitec Aurora 9X and Hitec receiver. I don't have any spare Multiplex receivers to try. Of the 3 Multiplex receivers that I have, only this one is a DR and it is giving me problems. I will order another receiver that is not DR but there is a short supply of these receivers in Australia so I will have to wait until the supplier gets some in. I will not use another DR type of receiver.
Just one question, will Multiplex keep producing the single receivers or will they all become DR?

I recommed you to send receiver and transmitter for a check up to our service department.

We will continue producing DR and normal receivers in future....
