Royal Pro 7 - language file failure - HELP PLEASE

Hello,

I have an older Royal Pro 7 tx which was working just fine. I linked to the multiplex launcher software and all was fine. I pressed on"push data" to send data to the tx and it failed. Ever since then it won't switch on at all.

When I plug it back in to the computer it was language file corrupt and to update. When I update it errors out.

As you can see it shows Dataset error: Mixer definitions (126) not found.

Anyone know what I can to do get my tx working again?

I don't have an old back up, does anyone have anything think I can use?

Really really need some help.

i have in my mind, there was a verion, which can only download by MPX Service station at the Royal pro.
Please ask MPX Service.

Hi, Chris!

As I can see form your foto your TX has SW-verion 2.52 and that means it still is a 40 or 35 MHz TX. This SW-version might also work with non-MULTILEX-2.4GHz-systems (PPM-signal) but not with M-LINK! Then a SW-verion 3.xx ist needed. Unfortuantely 3.xx versions no longer support non_MULTIPLEX-2.4GHZ-systems. (Oh what a nice trick!)
So if you try to push latest data to your TX the old SW-version does not accept it and thus an error is reported.

As Dieter already has said: you should contact MULTIPLEX directly! If someone of the MPX-team reads your post here they won't say anything different.

My TX is definitely a 2.4GHZ system, do you think that the "update" put an old no compatiable version on the TX?

This is what I see when I open it up:

I have emailed the service team, lets hope they can help, I loved this TX and really need it working again!.

Do you think a SW version update will fix it?

Hi, Chris!

I think you are an the right track. Your TX is definitely 2,4 GHZ (M-LINK) and for this you need a SW-version 3.xx.
So if you could get the launcher running an update angain, choose the 3.56 version. This is the latest and should solve all your problem.

According to the release notes https://www.multiplex-rc.de/Downloads/Multiplex/Software/Software-History-Released-Notes-20180221--de-en.pdf, 3.46 is the latest update for the Royal Pro 7. The 7 cannot be upgraded to SX status, which is available only for the 9 and the 16 channel versions.
I am surprised to see that the Launcher shows a later version in the above pictures?

You are right concerning the list you mentioned. But My personal ROYAL pro 7 was updeted to 3.56 and has been working fine eversince!

So, Chris: SW 3.56 is possible and it works!

Ok, so it's an omission by Multiplex, should be allright then.
I had a similar problem some time ago with a new Royal SX 16, which I also could not switch on anymore. I took it to the Dutch service agent (who lives relatively nearby), and he did some steps in the Launcher whereby he downloaded the data from the transmitter, removed some corrupted text and reloaded it into the transmitter and all was fine again. Unfortunately I cannot remember the exact procedure, and since I work on a Mac I cannot open the Launcher to see if it jogs my memory.......

So what happens is that I run the launcher and select RoyalPro manager, I then click update (only option I have) data is not clickable.

The Royalpro DataManager starts and I get a screen saying

TX type: ROYALpro7
current version V2.52
Language DE/EN
new version V3.56

when I click update it starts then puts an error up saying:

Dataset error: Mixer definitions (126) not found. If I then click ok I get another error:

Error 6: Display problem: Error in mixer definitions, then;
Error 7: Display problem: Error in controls assignment then;
Error 5: Display problem: Error in mixer settings, then;
Error 11: Error during update: please try again!

This happens each time I try

I contacted the Dutch service agent, and he replied as follows:

If you cannot open the data, you need to contact the service agent. I don't know where you live, but if it is England you need to contact Mike Ridley, mike@modelradioworkshop.co.uk

If you can open the data, you need to download the model data from your transmitter and look for corrupted entries, which you will recognize as odd characters. Remove those models from the list and upload the remaining models to your transmitter. When you did save your model data on an earlier occasion, before the problem occurred, it is better to upload that older list to your transmitter.
