Spare battery for Cockpit SX12 and other questions?

Do I have to send the transmitter to Multiplex service to replace the transmitter battery in the SX12? I have found a used SX12 that I am considering buying, but I am hesitant because I cannot find a spare battery either at the Multiplex shop or anywhere else.

Dear Ville,

there is no sparepart available at the retail, the battery pack was soldered directly on the Mainboard.
The battery is really durable, it is a LIFePo4.
If there is really a need you should send it to MPX for replacement.

If you open the transmitter, you could check if it is bloated.
if not i suggest to let the transmitter went empty, than charged it fully (you need to take care to use a charger with 1500mA) the battery management will calculate the capacity.

Then you could check, if it shows something more than 3500-4000mA note down the estmitted up-time .
Then let the transmitter turned on, for the estmitted up-time, if it is running fine for this period, I think you will need no new one battery pack.

Thanks Andreas for the answer, then I know. I have bought the SX12. I am an old Mpx user so it will probably be good.

Now I have received my second-hand SX12 and it looks really good, the transmitter in very good condition and the battery is quite ok. I bought a SX9 in 2016 but was not completely satisfied so I sold it and continued with my Royal Pro16 and P4000. I found the SX12 at a good price and couldn't help but shop around, so now I'm programming my first model into it and it's running like clockwork. It will be a Heron as the first model, then we'll see...

What do the last two menus mean/show, I don't recognize them from my time with the SX9?
