Sensor 15 announcement

On a model I have with a DR16Pro receiver, fitted with a voltage sensor to monitor the ignition battery, I get an occasional alarm with an announcement "Sensor 15 120"

I have no sensor in this model using sensor address 15? any idea what this is?

Hi Dieter, it is a Multiplex dual voltage sensor # 85400. The sensor is connected to the ignition battery using a modified Y-lead fitted between the mechanical isolation switch and receiver operated electronic switch in the power feed to the ignition module.

The sensor is fitted in the tank bay along with the ignition battery and module, the receiver is installed behind the main wing and the sensor connected to it with a 30cm extension lead.

you have only this voltage sensor on board?
The sensor ist working well meanwhile you read 120° on MSB 15?
Which MSB adresses you are using for voltage?
What you read out, if you disconnect this sensor from receiver?
What you see if you disconnect only the battery from the sensor port(s)?

Yes, just the voltage sensor onboard, with U1 reading the battery volts on MSB 2, and it works fine a reads the correct voltage (alarm value, 4.5v, is set on the Profi), nothing programmed on MSB15, but a random alarm and announcement "Sensor 15 120".

I have sensors installed in a lot of my other gliders and electric plane, but this is my only ignition engine and the only plane I have this random announcement on. I will be flying this plane next weekend, I'll try it without the sensor and see what happens.

After removing the sensor I rebuilt the sensor table and flew the model this weekend with no random announcements, I had added a vario sensor to provide height readouts but this was well away from the ignition module. So it looks like the source of the announcements was through the voltage sensor which was monitoring the ignition module supply battery.

Hi Frank, I had a similar announcement when my cell phone was lying beside my Profi Tx the other day, must have been a radio distortion.
