I would like to ask if any of you have any idea how to change the firmware of a multiplex profi mc3030-3010 radio.
The motherboards seem the same, the only differences are in the display that in the mc3030 is 4 lines, and in the mc3010 2 lines.
Both boards have a 80C535 processor, which does not have an internal rom, there are 2 memories, a 27C256 eprom and a CXK58757 sram buffered with a 3 volt battery.
The firmware resides in the sram.
I don't know how multiplex updates the firmware.
I thought of reading a working firmware directly from the buffered sram, obviously without unsoldering it, using an arduino, saving the content in a file, and then rewriting it on the sram of the board with the corrupted or obsolete firmware.
What do you think?
Do you have other strategies?
Or do you know anything else?
