Nosewheel mix on a Wingstabi PRO 16 (or 9)

I´m trying to program a nose wheel steering on channel 6 that´s locked in center position when wheels are up. This nose wheel must be steered together with rudder in gear down position. On a normal receiver this is defined with a new mixer called NOSEWHEEL+ with rudder and fixed value and works fine on a regular receiver. This also works on the Wingstabi but the manual says it´s forbidden to mix gyro axis. I´m not sure I will dare to fly with this.
Anyone done this the proper way with the Wingstabi.?

Hi Arne,

you can use the nose-wheel with no gyro function on it. You need to:

• setup transmitter with all mixers you need for the nosewheel
• map this function on a output channel in the transmitter
• go to wingstabi and map this channel to a servo output

But can I use the Rudder as part of the mixing with the Wingstabi?
This is what I did:
I defined a mixer "NOSEWHEEL+" with 1. Rudder and sw 4 (gear down)
2. Fixed value sw 4 (gear up).
In Mixer NOSEWHEEL+ Rudder is travl 100% switch 4 (gear DOWN)
FIXED VALUE travl 50% switch (4 gear UP) (makes nosewheel straight when going into fuselage)

In Servo assignment I choose NOSEWHEEL+ on my ch 6 and in Wingstabi I choose receiver ch 6 on that servo.
Is this what you ment?.
This works but I´m concerned about Wingstabi and mixing in Profi radio.

Yes, exactly this is was i ment. For special functions (not affected by gyro) its no problem to do mixing on the radio side

I use Chrome that translate from German to English automatically and this works fine. Unfortunatly when I write in English Google translate sometimes the opposite meaning. So please use original language on these othervise you will be more confused

You needn't worry about using a mixer in this case. You always have to be careful with mixers that influence the controlsurfaces. The function "gear-in" normally hasn't got an influence on the surfaces - unless you have programmed anything for compensation purposes.
Note here: I don't say gear in or out hasn't got an influence on the way the plane flies! Of course, there is a certain influence.
