Mpx wingstabi and turbine problem

Hi there.

I have a wren 160 turbine and am connecting it to a wingstabi 16.
I am teaching the throttle to the turbine. It always says 'fail' when i finish setup on the turbine.

I can see values changing on GSU when moving throttle to max, but cannot see any values change when setting minimum throttle+minimum trim also cannot see any values change at maximum trim.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Hi,

first thougths:
the wingstabi normaly only bypass the throttle signal. so what you see in the profi tx servo monitor ist what you (should) get on your GSU.
this is a point you should verify. if you can confirm this, your problem have to be on the transmitter or turbine side.

second thoughts:
which throttle function did you map to your throttle channel?
the profi tx has two throttle functions, one with trim included, and another one with trim excluded. in german they are called GAS and GAS-T.
it seems you choose the throttle function which excludes trim.

Thanks for the reply Andreas. I have also been getting some help from a very knowledgeable guy here in the uk.

The issue is definately transmitter.

Ok, so this idiot (me!) had the trim on half setting which did not help! But now, when i monitor the channel, trim does not have any effect at zero throttle. trim only seems to work at higher throttle settings.

Incidentally, my throttle is right hand slider -h- as i fly with 1 hand.

Any ideas?

Hi Andreas, I have sorted it! In summary, I did 4 things:

1. Reversed the throttle control in ABC1
2. Reversed the throttle channel in servo-calibrate
3. changed trim to 'full'
   (at this point, it still didn't work)
4. Changed trim step from 1.5% to 1%

And it worked !!
