Hello everyone
I have used the FAQ-answer 1000129 as a guide for setting up Timer1 and Timer2 for flying time and motor time in my F5J-gliders for several years now and it works great (thank you tech-support for this one!). But I am stuck with how to set up Timer3 for counting down the extra 10 seconds after the motor shutdown. Does anyone have a solution for this?
A longer explanation:
FAQ-answer 1000129 explains how to get two timers started with the same switch, but one of the timers keeps running until shut down with another switch. In my case I use the motor switch to start both Timer1 which counts down from 10 minutes to measure flying time, and Timer2 which counts down from 30 seconds which is the maximum allowed motortime according to the F5J-rules. But in the F5J-rules the pilot gets a height-penalty for the maximum height measured during the period from start of the motor to ten seconds after shutdown of the motor. Therefor I would like the Timer3 to start a 10s-countdown when Timer2 is stopped (or when the motor switch is returned to OFF) so I know when it is OK to start climb in a thermal without increasing the height penalty.
I appreciate any solutions and/or ideas you may have!
